” In 2014, the US Defense Budget was over half a trillion dollars, which was more money than the next eight countries combined. Five decades earlier, President Eisenhower gave his farewell address warning the American people about the dangers of the military industrial complex. Today, we are nearly bankrupt and continually lose our liberties in the name of ‘National Security.’ Let me remind you of what he said. ‘In the councils of government we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist…We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes.’
The military industrial complex is the foundation of our economy linking the financial, political and social structures into and organized instrument of profit. It persists even when it is not needed out of greed, because it is the most efficient way to gain social support for public spending.
We have been at war in Iraq for over 24 years. It is the modern day Vietnam: A perpetual war that keeps money flooding into the ‘industry.’
Military campaigns in Iraq have been launched by each of the last 4 Presidents, so the military industrial complex is supported by both political parties. The recent War in Iraq alone has already cost $1.7 trillion and total liabilities could cost over $6 trillion in the next four decades. And when you consider the Federal Government is currently $17 trillion dollars in debt, it is obvious that the money was not spent with the well-being of the average American in mind.
After the Cold War, the US had no reason to perpetuate the military industrial complex. So they invented the ‘War on Drugs,’ then with even more success the ‘War on Terror.’
After 9/11 the money began to roll in like never before. In 2012, Sec. of State, Hillary Clinton, was caught running guns to Al Qaeda in Benghazi proving we fund the terrorists we fight; The ‘War on Terror’ is a lie.
It was one thing when the perpetual war was fought abroad, but now that US citizens are beginning to question things, the complex has started to turn on the American people.
Edward Snowden revealed how the Patriot Act has been used to spy on American citizens and businesses for greater control and profiteering. This is only behavior one would expect to find in a fascist nation. So we must admit we live in the USSA – the new state of fascism.
Even with perpetual war, the USSA is now finding even more ways to create debt, inflation and more money. It is estimated the Affordable Care Act will cost another $1 – 2 trillion in the next ten years. This is the financial equivalent of another war in Iraq.
What is the ultimate consequence of all this debt you ask? Eventually when creditors lose confidence in the American taxpayer to uphold debt obligations, creditors will sell treasury bonds and the currency will hyper-inflate. After WW1, Germany’s currency hyper-inflated on war debts and lost so much value German citizens were burning reichsmarks to heat their homes. Prepare now by investing in gold, silver or other precious metals that do not lose purchasing power.
Terrorism is not the real enemy. It is the printing press.”
