Simon certainly leads an exciting life. He kept us waiting for awhile yesterday as the brakes in his car gave out—if you call two inoperable brake cables at the same time simply “giving out”. The first thing that came to my conspiratorial mind when he told us the garage mechanic reported they were all corroded was that “someone” had made them appear naturally corroded. What are the chances of losing two simultaneously?
Later in the show they mentioned that they were probably “painted” with something causing rapid corrosion, making it look like natural wear and tear. Poor Simon had an expensive fix, but despite all that and his time constraints, he very generously gave us 45 minutes, and it was a fascinating 45 minutes, at that.
Listeners always present terrific questions, and Simon revealed the truth about Stanley Kubrick, his movies, and his sudden death.
Simon also left listeners with an earful about the American Space Program original moon landing. He said the rocket they claimed went to the moon never did. It went into orbit and then splashed down. The Americans got to the moon via alternative means. He didn’t elaborate, but I believe they had off-world help. Fascinating!
Another of the items mentioned was this situation in the UK. ~ BP
