Timeline

NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt in his Wrangler racing suit at Pocono Raceway in 1985

1897: Twenty-year-old C.C. Hudson leaves Spring Hill Farm in Williamson County, Tennessee, and makes his way to Greensboro, North Carolina, seeking his fortune in the emerging textile industry. He finds work in a factory making overalls, where he earns 25 cents a day sewing on buttons.

1904; Hudson’s workplace closes. He and a few others buy several of the sewing machines, lease space above a downtown grocery store and incorporate as the Hudson Overall Company.

1919: The business builds its first factory on South Elm Street in Greensboro and changes its name to Blue Bell Overall Company.

1936: Blue Bell launches Super Big Ben Overalls made out of 100% Sanforized Fabric that reduces shrinkage after washing to less than 1%. This sets a new standard for the industry.

1943: Blue Bell acquires the Casey Jones Work-Clothes Company and the rights to a rarely used Casey Jones brand name: Wrangler.

1946: Blue Bell starts to develop a jeans line for cowboys, hiring famous tailor Rodeo Ben. Blue Bell workers take part in a contest to give the jeans a brand name. The winning name is Wrangler, synonymous with the name for a working cowboy.

1947: After designing and testing 13 pairs of prototype jeans, Blue Bell introduces the Wrangler 11MWZ to American consumers. The Wrangler Jeans featured several innovations aimed particularly at cowboys: Felled outseams and inseams, rear pockets positioned for comfort in the saddle, ‘no scratch’ rivet pocket reinforcement, a zipper fly, and use of a strong tack in the crotch instead of a metal rivet. A promotional campaign is launched featuring 11MWZ test riders and rodeo legends Freckles Brown, Bill Linderman, and Jim Shoulders.

1952: Lot number 11MWZ is renamed 13MWZ to conform to the 13 oz. per yard denim weight being used to manufacture the style.

1962: Blue Bell opens a factory in Belgium and the Wrangler brand name enjoys a successful launch in Europe.

1974: The Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association of America (PRCA) officially endorses Wrangler Jeans.

1983: Wrangler sponsor European Football champions Nottingham Forest F.C.

1986: Blue Bell merges with the VF Corporation of Pennsylvania.

1996: One of every five pairs of jeans sold in America is a Wrangler.

1997: The 50th anniversary of the 13MWZ. A Special Collectors Edition of the 13MWZ is created to celebrate this event.

2000: “Whatever You Ride” television ad campaign is launched, focusing on core brand values.

2001: Wrangler commences making its jeans in Mexico.

2002: “There’s a bit of the West in all of us” TV and print ad campaign is launched.

2004: A new Wrangler European print campaign is launched, “Wanted,” representing a powerful modern expression of Wrangler’s roots. Wrangler also celebrates 100 years of manufacturing quality denim by producing Blue Bell by Wrangler, a limited edition collection that reproduces the first Wrangler jeans right down to the last detail. Wrangler also reworks the mainstream collection, producing new fits using icons inspired by the very first jeans designed by Rodeo Ben. The Wrangler brand is now recognized in 22 European countries.

2005: Wrangler’s last U.S. sewing plant is closed.

2011: Wrangler conducts consumer design competition to find the next thing in jeans.[6] The winner, Song Anh Nguyen of Greensboro, had her design produced by Wrangler and made available for sale.[7]

2018: Wrangler parent company VF Corporation announces plans to spin off its jeans operations including Wrangler into a separate public company.[8]

Peter Nygard up to his old tricks again…

Photo from Tribune 242

BACKGROUND INFO: Peter Nygard is a billionaire fashion designer who lives in the Bahamas who has a notorious reputation (from a variety of sources) for drunken lechery and has also been implicated in rape, harassment, conspiracy, human trafficking, human rights abuses, unlawful confinement and essentially “slavery”. (Sources include various human rights groups, reporters, the CBC, the Jordanian government, witnesses… so many I cannot list them all.) Peter Nygard is basically what happens when you someone is too rich for their own good and has become evil and corrupt.

Years ago I used to live in the Bahamas… so it just so happens that I know where Peter Nygard lives, Nygard Cay.

And something fishy is going on at Nygard Cay… and the property next to it.

According to BusinessInsider.com… Peter Nygard’s neighbour, Louis Bacon, is now trying to sell his $35 million vacation home next to Nygard Cay, because he has been feuding with Peter Nygard.

And the feud is apparently pretty serious, as is the accusations going back and forth.

For example…

Louis Bacon had 4 “military grade” speakers on his property in July 2010, likely to be used to blast loud annoying music at his neighbour, in an effort to annoy Peter Nygard.

Peter Nygard meanwhile claims that Bacon tried to “destroy Nygard’s reputation by attempting to hire a young girl to say she was raped on his property,” according to the Toronto Sun. Which would be nothing new, since there is also the CBC documentary “Larger Than Life”, in which a young girl was mentioned having been sexually assaulted / intimidated by Peter Nygard.

In May of 2010, Bahamian police discovered the Louise Moore’s house manager dead, naked, body in the home’s hot tub. Louise Moore wasn’t in the Bahamas at the time, and security on his estate isn’t that tight (whereas Nygard Cay is like a Bond villain’s lair). Conspiracy theorists might wonder if Peter Nygard is somehow connected to the death of Louise Moore’s house manager.

Peter Nygard is now suing Bacon for allegedly trying to ruin his reputation. This is nothing new either. Peter Nygard likely sues 20+ people per year, usually for trying to ruin his reputation. (Which begs the question, how bad is Peter Nygard’s reputation if he is constantly fighting to silence his enemies?)

Meanwhile two of Peter Nygard’s former employees have been arrested for failing to pay back $189,000 USD owed to 5 investors in a civil fraud case… which oddly enough were employees who had been held unlawfully against their will on Peter Nygard’s estate years ago and made a daring escape to get out of there. Peter Nygard alleges they stole documents from him.

So yeah, definitely lots of fishy things going on at Nygard Cay.

I should note, based on my experience, and my parents’ experience, of living in the Bahamas that the police there are idiots, corrupt and/or absolutely useless. There might be a few good cops in the bunch, but they’re drowned out by the sheer amount of corruption.

So if Peter Nygard is doing anything illegal he isn’t going to get caught very easily. He rarely visits overseas, and when he does he sub-contracts out any work he needs done.

ie. In Jordan Peter Nygard hired several businessmen to run a pants factory. The factory then imported women from India and Pakistan using human trafficking, stole their ID/passports, and then forced them to make pants night and day, beating them if they failed to meet assigned quotas. One woman was so tired after working multiple shifts that she stumbled and was killed by a truck.

But that isn’t Peter Nygard’s fault. He only hired the slavedrivers to run the factory and make pants. He doesn’t care how they get the job done. In my book that makes Peter Nygard a de facto slaveowner, effectively a slaveowner by proxy.

Peter Nygard looks like a corpse

December 15th 2017

Check out the photo above of this walking zombie of a corpse.

His name is Peter Nygard and he recently tried to get a female judge in Canada to recuse herself.

But his lawyer did not provide any cogent reasons for why they Nygard wanted the female judge recused.

Let me guess why.

It is because she is FEMALE and Peter Nygard is worried a female judge will recognize Nygard for being a misogynistic James Bond villain that he is. For those that don’t know…

Nygard is a fashion mogul billionaire with a home in the Bahamas.

He has a shark tank and pays fashion models to hang around his home (where he has sex with them, for money of course).

Some of the fashion models have gone missing. Never to be seen from again.

Nygard’s lawyer claims the women just went home, or wherever. But how come the women went missing? How come nobody, not even their families, can find them?

Or did the missing women become shark food in Nygard’s shark tank?

Maybe. We don’t know.

But people sure would love to find out.

Nygard is into all sorts of legal problems. Disputes with his neighbours. Disputes with past employees. Disputes with journalists at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC’s Fifth Estate). Disputes with ex-wives. Disputes with women he sexually abused.

He is basically a cross between Harvey Weinstein and a James Bond villain, with an actual Bond villain home in the Bahamas called Nygard Cay.

Aerial Shot of Nygard Cay

So basically everyone knows he is dirty. But he has expensive lawyers so proving he is dirty in court is a different matter.

Meanwhile lets read the Tribune article that came out yesterday:

A Supreme Court judge has refused Canadian fashion mogul Peter Nygard’s second attempt at having her recuse herself from an ongoing judicial review against him on the grounds of bias.
Justice Rhonda Bain, in a written ruling obtained by The Tribune, said Mr Nygard gave “no cogent reasons” for his claims of bias and said there is consequently “no basis” for the recusal as he previously asserted.
She added a “fair-minded and informed observer” taking into consideration all of the circumstances would not conclude the court is biased against him as he claimed.
Justice Bain further noted in her ruling the substantive matter has been delayed by the “numerous” interlocutory applications and applications for her recusal, adding this most recent ruling is the 26th to date, and that there are still approximately 20 outstanding applications in the matter.
Nonetheless, the judge noted an outstanding application for her recusal by Keod Smith, Mr Nygard’s former attorney, must and will be heard before proceeding with the other outstanding interlocutory applications and the eventual hearing of the substantive application for judicial review.
Justice Bain said in her ruling: “Even though there have been other applications for recusal of the court, the court has found that these applications were groundless. Likewise, in the present application, the court finds that the grounds relied on by (Mr Nygard) in support of his claim for bias or perceived bias are groundless.
“(Mr Nygard) has not proved actual bias or apparent or perceived bias by the court.”
Mr Nygard has filed two recusal applications against Justice Bain on the grounds of bias, the latter of which was launched in March of this year. His first recusal application, which ultimately failed, was filed in 2015.
Both recusal applications stem from Mr Nygard’s battle with environment group Save The Bays (STB) over allegations the construction/development activities at his Lyford Cay home have led to a substantial growth of the property.
The group claims Mr Nygard has almost doubled the size of his property, from 3.25 acres to 6.1 acres, since he acquired it in 1984, by reclaiming Crown land from the sea. The advocacy group alleged Mr Nygard achieved this without the necessary permits and approvals, claims that have been denied by the fashion designer.
Last month, Justice Bain said the court would not allow Mr Nygard’s “non-attendance” to his own recusal application on two consecutive occasions to “further delay” the hearing of those proceedings.
Justice Bain ruled at the time the court is not at Mr Nygard’s “whim and fancy” and would hear his recusal applications in his absence.
However, Justice Bain said while she decided to treat Mr Nygard’s absence as a “separate issue” from the substantive recusal motion, the court would give the Lyford Cay resident an opportunity to “show cause” of his failure to obey the court’s orders to attend the recusal application hearings on both October 30 and October 31.

So yeah…

It is any surprise that Peter Nygard has decided to add environmental groups to the long list of people who hate him?

After all, why should a James Bond villain care about environmental groups?

When what he should really be worried about is his saggy skin, white hair and corpse-like facial features?

And petty issues like showing up to court dates? Bah, he can do them later. Clearly someone who needs facial reconstruction surgery doesn’t need to show up to court. He could die at any moment from being a zombie plague victim.

In which case I should hone up on my archery skills. Shooting zombies are my specialty.
