[I came across this guy’s post on Facebook and thought I would share it with everyone. This is not the first time I’ve heard a story about the abuse of kids like this in the 1800s. There’s also the “babies in incubators” thing at carnivals back at the turn of the last century. Where did those babies come from? How did they get to be part of a side-show? It seems that there’s not a single aspect of history that we’re coming to find we’ve been lied to about our entire lives. I’m going to do some digging and will post more on this topic as I come across it . . . SC]By Chris Malcheski – December 5, 2022Coming Soon … Orphan TrainsWikipedia states that the Orphan Train Movement was a “supervised welfare program” running from crowded cities in the Eastern U.S. to the mostly rural (at the time) Midwest. Running between 1854 and 1929, they’re claimed to have relocated roughly 200,000 children. To make a long story short, initial appearances are that the children were not orphans at all but kidnapped, being sold as slave labor to the farms of the Midwest. The first problem encountered with the official version is the photographs showing huge collections of children seemingly being new arrivals in the very cities they were supposedly being taken from. A good number seem to have been forced to eek out a living on their own within these cities, which also contradicts the slave labor explanation. It’s said that the movement was founded in 1851 by a group of 24 philanthropists. Who were these people? This is a side of the Orphan Train Movement we never seem to be exposed to. I decided to do some digging on the people credited with creating the movement.[Full article under development…]
