Intrepid Ukrainian politician Oleh Lyashko mocked a photo of Queen Elizabeth II, the cherished living symbol of the British monarchy and history, RIA Novosti reported.

“Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. An aggressive, cynical Bandera follower, a punisher granny, a loyal adherent of the Kiev junta. Her secret of youth is that she drinks fresh blood of DPR and LPR (the self-proclaimed Donbass republics) babies every morning.”

Seemingly, the combination of the blue and yellow reminded the Verkhovna Rada lawmaker of the Ukrainian flag.

Did he try to make a joke? Certainly. But this “joke” can hardly draw Ukraine nearer to the European Union. If Kiev has not yet given up the idea of joining the bloc, its politicians should probably watch their steps in taking liberties with the EU leaders.

Recently, Oleh Lyashko has mocked the murder of Ukrainian opposition journalist and publicist Oles Buzina and the deaths of several ex-members of the Party of Regions.
