Typically when a back budget is mentioned IE: 2007, there is something in that Budget that was not completed, and they have now decided to finish it and ratify it. As to the particulars mentioned in the tweet, that has to be verified in print so time will tell. Good news if so!

4-2-2016   Intel/Newshound Guru Mnt Goat    I can absolutely, without a doubt tell you that there WILL NOT be any RV of the IQD this weekend. Why watch for an RV if we know there are still mandates for Iraq to complete prior to any RV. It is instead the completion of these mandates we watch and wait for as the RV is not the main objective here but just a by-product of meeting these objectives.   So now at the week’s end we see a benchmark in this saga to obtain a technocratic government (an event that had to occur). We know that prime minister Abadi has met Sadr’s deadline of Thursday to submit to parliament the list of candidates to fill his cabinet…   …Abadi told everyone that after about a year he would come back and review everyone who he originally appointed as minister. He has done just this and so he does carry out his plan. 4-2-2016   Newshound Guru  firefly   The CBI and the GOI are 2 separate entities…Every Central bank is its own entity.  According to Iraq’s constitution the Governor of the CBI has to be voted in. He/She can’t simply be appointed the position…as Maliki was doing for 4 years.  I don’t believe all the positions are needed to fix for the reform.  Remember, the only conditions the IMF gave them on Dec 22, 2015 was to get the AML and Investment Laws completed and activated.  Both DONE!

4-2-2016   Newshound Guru mike    Article:  “Abadi adviser waving to lift subsidies on gasoline ration card and to ensure the IMF loans”    This will be a very unpopular move for Abadi to make right now, the folks need those ration cards and fuel subsidies, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Sadr reject this. It looks like they’re trying to lower expenses and dismantle the socialist structure of Iraq but they need to get the open market economy up and running before they do it, IMO.

4-2-2016   Newshound Guru wmawhite   Please…someone explain to me how is it that the parliament voting on the new minister of culture, or the minister of education, or any of them have anything to do with Iraq entering the world’s economy markets?  Let me give you a little hint…it has nothing to do with it…   These reforms of the government of Iraq is a reform of the old way of doing business…Abadi is changing a “culture” and is setting Iraq on a new path for the future…these changes will help Iraq be successful in the future. Last October the IMF told the world about something Iraq is going to do now…”1st half of 2016″…

4-2-2016   Newshound Guru Tlar   Shabs has been there all along in the background IMO.  …most likely Shabibi will not come back but there is strong evidence  that Shabibi has been advising and communicating with Keywords as an article of a week or so stated, keywords asked Shabibi for his help on getting certain legislation through.  …that alone showed me that there is communication between with Shabibi and Keywords.  I can also understand that until Maliki is gone or behind bars that there is good reason to keep any communication between Keywords and Shabs low key on Shabs part and to a certain extent Keywords part also.  Keywords was a Maliki proxy.  I am not so sure that Keywords will be removed.  Either on his own or with help from somebody or some organization, he has been transforming everything nicely at the CBI in preparation to shake hands with the international banking system, including rebuilding the CBI website making it user friendly and interactive and transparent.  I think he is either a pretty smart cookie or he is getting a lot of help considering he has had no formal training in banking let alone being in charge of a central bank.  To what he owes his achievements so far or to who, it is still a remarkable achievement as to how well he has transformed the whole system in preparation to go international with their banks.  All IMO of course..

4-2-2016   Newshound Guru mike   Here’s the thing, a 1500 – $1 rate will help the GOI, it would reduce internal expenses like payroll etc as much as 30%. Conversely, this will create inflation and lower the purchasing power of the citizens. So…it’s a quagmire. We just have to trust that the government is going to do the right thing for its people, no worries, right?
