An Air Force AI got a little too good at its job, deciding to kill its human overseers to accomplish its mission

Firstly, this is a constructed-simulation. Meaning, it only happened on the computer, working with the drone’s code. But, this is just insane, and a little sad that this is the best our military can do. They trained it to think it’s way out of problems, and in each case, it kind of did. It killed the operator.“It killed the operator because that person was keeping it from accomplishing its objective.“We trained the system – ‘Hey don’t kill the operator – that’s bad.
