At 10:30 this morning four apaches and a chinook flew over our street, and fairly low, too. Hard to miss. It could be a big week with some rain in the forecast. The clouds have been most welcome when it’s 93 F at 6 am, but we need a deluge. Lots of them and we need to end this drought.
It seems China isn’t the only country buying up American land. Arizona farmers are squawking because the Saudis banned the growing of alfalfa in their country because it needs so much water to grow, but they bought Arizona farms and in the middle of a serious drought are growing alfalfa; most of which is shipped out of America. There are dry wells in AZ and they’re saying it’s time to raise our water rates.
