Drugmakers rig trials to make dangerous, ineffective drugs like selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, or SSRI, antidepressants seem safe and effective using tactics like subjective metrics, deliberately harming placebo groups, hiding reactions, brief studies, recruiting only healthy subjects and burying incriminating documents.

Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressants are some of the most harmful medications on the market, but also some of the most profitable.
Since their discovery, a deluge of data has shown that they are incredibly unsafe, relatively ineffective in treating depression and very difficult to safely withdraw from.
Thus, to get the SSRIs to market, a wide range of dishonest tactics needed to be done to conceal those issues.
Those same tactics have been used to push many of the other worst pharmaceuticals onto the market (e.g., the COVID-19 vaccines). In this article, I will attempt to expose these practices.
Every now and then, a highly profitable pharmaceutical will come along that everyone also knows is quite dangerous.

Remarkably, rather than thisstopping the product, it will often be pushed to market and the profits it generates will be used to ensure any objections to its safety get ignored and blown to the wayside.

One of my goals in writing has hence been to review the scandalous history of some of the most dangerous pharmaceuticals on the market.

This was done both to help those being harmed by them (e.g., consider the story of statins and the story of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or NSAIDs) and to illustrate that the horrendous malfeasance we’ve observed from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) throughout COVID-19 has been its standard operating procedure.

For example, I recently covered the story of Merck’s Vioxx, an unsafe and unneeded painkiller that was kept on the market until outside investigators proved it was causing heart attacks and strokes (estimated to have killed 120,000 people by the time Vioxx was withdrawn), something Merck was fully aware of from the start

Dear RM Agents and Readers,

It was in the early 90’s when I was placed under extreme stress and turned to Prozac and found it interesting when I applied for life insurance there was a higher cost because they knew already that antidepressants are associated with a higher risk of suicide.

So they keep handing them out and these kids haven’t got a chance and then their actions harm so many more.
