CALIFORNIA STATE CAPITAL BUILDINGS HAVE BEEN EVACUATED DUE TO BOMB THREAT:
The threat came in the form of an email on Friday morning, according to California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The Capitol and Swing Space have been ‘temporarily evacuated’ at the direction of the Joint Rules committee, CHP said.
A different email was sent by a staffer around 9 am to inform employees that the California Highway Patrol was investigating the matter to see if the threat was credible, according to KCRA.
‘Law enforcement is actively working to determine if the threat is credible,’ Assembly Chief Administrative Officer for the Rules Committee, Lia Lopez, wrote to staff in a memo, obtained by Politico.
The email also went out to assembly members about the threat, KCRA reported. Workers were told to work from home until the situation was taken care of. DailyMail
